With the instability of Martin Stein not being able to merge his molecules have reached critical condition. This makes Team Flash search for another partner since Ronnie dissappearance. There research comes up with two potentials: Henry Hewitt and Jax Jackson.Hewitt
Caitlin Snow picks Hewitt since he to is a scientist but failed to merge with Stein. Jax, at first refused to help out but after learning about Ronnieand how he died as a hero by stopping the singularity he decided to give it a chance. After being attacked by Hewitt (Tokamak) Jax merged with Stein to become Firestorm 2 and stopped Hewitt with the help of Flash. Jax and Stein left to better understand their power.
